Deck Options We Install & Repair
Wood Decks
Pressure treated wood decks continue to be the choice for many homeowers. They are the most economical, easy to stain, resist abuse, and many brands carry a lifetime (limited) warranty. We recommend upgrading to “choice”, “premium”, or “select” boards. You’ll pay more per linear foot but they’ll be kiln-dried before & after treatment and have less of a tendancy to twist or warp.
Cedar Decks
Looking for the natural look of wood, maybe Cedar should be your choice. Cedar heartwood (deeper red color) is naturally rot resistant and doesn’t really absorb moisture. Cedar is well known to lie flat & straight and easily last 15-20 years with proper maintenance.
Composite Decking
Tired of power washing and staining your deck every year? Composite decking offers you almost “near-zero” maintenance because it doesn’t rot, splinter, or twist. Composite decking allows you to relax during our 4-5 months of warm weather in Michigan versus cleaning & staining it.
Vinyl Decking
Vinyl decking is another choice gaining popularity due to its low-maintenance characteristics. Selection of colors is the largest advantage over composite or natural wood. Homeowners can choose almost any color or combination of colors to get the design you want. Vinyl decking is also produced in planks which resemble the look of wood without the splinters.
